A man has been charged following recent indecent exposures in the East Neuk of Fife.
Local officers in Levenmouth had been investigating the incidents, which took place at the Caiplie Caves between Crail and Cellardyke on Saturday 30th September and Saturday 7th October.
As a result of these inquiries a 47-year-old man was detained on Wednesday 11th October and subsequently charged.
He is scheduled to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday 12th October.
Detective Constable Barry Crookston from Levenmouth CID said: “Following extensive inquiry into these incidents, and supported by the local community we have now made an arrest in connection with these indecent exposures and we’d like to thank those who came forward with information.
“While none of the woman who witnessed these public indecencies were hurt, they were left understandably alarmed and we want to reassure our communities that crimes of this nature will not be tolerated.
“Whenever such offences occur they will be investigated thoroughly and those found to be involved will be robustly dealt with.”
