Appeal following glenrothes break-in

We are appealing for the public’s help as part of an investigation into a break-in to a business premises in Glenrothes.

Between 9.45pm and 11.20pm on Wednesday 27th February, RS McColl’s in North Street was broken into and a quantity of cigarettes stolen.

Two males, aged 16 to 19, were seen entering the premises during this time. One is described as wearing dark clothing and a dark-coloured baseball cap. The second was wearing grey bottoms and a two-tone top.

They are believed to have been part of a group of youths who had been gathered in the area and officers are asking anyone who may have been in the town centre and saw the group to come forward.

Likewise, any residents in the area who may have captured the group on private CCTV or anyone who may have information which could be relevant is urged to get in touch.
