Police are appealing for information following a wilful fireraising in the area of Skibo Avenue, Pitteuchar on Friday 13th January 2017. Around 9.40pm on Friday 13th January 2017 a fire was discovered within a wheelie bin at an address in Skibo Avenue, Pitteuchar. The bin was located beside the kitchen window of the property and the heat from the fire caused damage to the outer pane within the kitchen window and further damage to the window frame and sill.

PS Thomson, Community Sergeant said “This was a completely reckless act and thankfully the householders were unharmed by these actions, although they are both shaken up by the potential consequences. I am aware of several other incidents of youths taking bins from nearby properties and setting them on fire within the woods and local community officers will be increasing patrols in the area to tackle this issue.
