Hundreds of cannabis plants worth £70,000 seized in raid

We have arrested and charged two men after a quantity of Class B drugs were recovered near Saline.

Acting on information received by the public, officers executed a search warrant at an address near Steelend on Tuesday 27 November.

Around 250 cannabis plants were found in an outside shed with a potential street value of around £70,000.

Two men aged 23 and 29-years-old were arrested and charged and appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday 28 November.

Detective Sergeant Neil McGurk from the Community Investigation Unit said: “Under Operation Prospect, we continue to work hard to tackle drug crime and remove such harmful substances from our communities.

“Drugs and associated criminality can blight communities, and I would like to thank the public who continue to assist us in tackling this issue.
