Police have charged two people in connection with the murder of a woman in Blairhall near Dunfermline.
Officers were called to an address in the Rintoul Avenue area of Blairhall at around 7.30pm on Friday 5 October where the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
The woman has today been named as 36-year-old Claire Turnbull from Dunfermline.
Detective Inspector Kelly McEwan from Dunfermline CID said: “Our thoughts are with Claire’s family and friends at this tragic time.
“Claire’s family are being supported by specialist officers and the family kindly request privacy at this time to come to terms with their loss.
“We are satisfied that this was an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection.”
The 27-year-old man and 29-year-old woman are due to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court today (Monday 8 October).
