Man charged in connection with the attempted murder

Police have confirm that a 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 36-year-old man at an address in Fod Street, Dunfermline.

The incident happened around 7.30pm on Monday, April 1. The victim was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment and was later released.

The man will appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Thursday, April 18.

Detective Sergeant Kieran Marsh of Fife’s Criminal Investigation Department said: “Our thanks go to the local community for their support of our enquiries and response to appeals for information.

“Crime of violence are never acceptable and we will not tolerate this type of criminality in our local community.
