Police appeal after a 30-year-old man was assaulted

Police in Dunfermline are appealing for witnesses after a 30-year-old man was assaulted in Duloch Park, Dunfermline on Sunday 23rd April.

The man was walking his dog on the public footpath to the north of the park around 10.15 am when a stranger approached him and assaulted him.

The suspect is described as being a white male, around 5ft 8 inches tall with brown stubble.

He was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who was in the area around that time and who may have seen a male fitting that description to please get in touch.

Detective Constable Alasdair Young of Dunfermline CID said:

“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area around that time.

“We’re particularly keen to speak to a couple who spoke to the victim shortly after the incident.”
