Police named 29 year old woman after fatal traffic collision

Police Scotland can confirm the name of a 29-year-old woman who has died following a one-car collision on the A985.

She was Sharon Smith of Glasgow.

Miss Smith died around 2.30am on Sunday, December 18, when her blue Skoda Fabia motor car was involved in a collision on the A985 near High Valleyfield.

Miss Smith’s family have respectfully requested privacy at this time.
Police Sergeant James Henry of Fife Division’s Road Policing Unit said: “This is a tragic incident where a young woman has lost her life and our thoughts are with her family at this time.
“We are investigating this collision and I would ask anyone who was on A985 in the early hours of Sunday, December 18, or has any information, to please get in touch with us immediately.”
